Dr. Phil,

I am a fan of you show, it’s aired in the Netherlands on national television
with some delay. However I was not impressed with your comments on Aruba. Why would you ask your audience to boycott all of Aruba? I and all people I talked to about the disappearance of Natalee Holloway were shocked by the whole thing. The Netherlands even used F16s trying to locate her. It’s bad that there are bad people in Aruba, but Aruba is not populated with bad people only. Maybe you feel that Aruba and the Dutch are not doing (did not do) enough. But I can assure you we did and are. It is sickening what happened to Natalee, and I understand (and feel myself) the need for bringing in the one (or more) responsible. But I like this to be done within the framework set out before the emotion and press hit. I don’t think a boycott will help Natalee, or god-forbid, future victims. It will only bring the USA and Aruba/The Netherlands further apart.
