Dr. Phil appeared on the Jay Leno show that was aired on november 2, 2005. On this show he claims the following:
“We have reasonable belief, without giving false hope, that Natalee is alive – we don’t know where.” …. “I just had to bring a group out of Mexico because things were getting pretty bad….maybe we were getting too hot.”
Scared Monkeys has the full transcript of Dr. Phil’s appearance.
So now Dr. Phil has turned investigator too? There are several things I want to say about this.
For starters, if Natalee still is alive and he’s really on to her whereabouts, they will have moved or killed her because of this information going public. Not very discreet of Dr. Phil.
If this information is actually true, he is keeping it from the official investigation. Also not a very good practice.
If this information is untrue he’s giving the family false hope.
And last, Beth Holloway Twitty has reacted to this statement on CNN on Nancy Grace’s show, asking to be a bit more careful with what and how information about Natalee is divulged.
And remember, november is an important moment for TV ratings!
Dr. Phil should stick to his core business. He is using this case just to generate more publicity for himself. He just manages to disgust me more every day.
